Default Gears? will they help?

I just been procrastinating on getting 373's, i feel that i do pretty good with the 27's, also i love the cruising rpm ect... but i cant get but low 1.8 60 ft's with them, and of course i need some harder low 1.7 60' launches to keep the upperhand on these f-bod's

what do you guys think? you think the 400$ is worth the gains i will see with the gears? if i see any at all?
I've heard of people slowing down going from 3.55 to 4.10 ect, so im kind of sceptical, because i could take that money, and get a nos kit, or a nice fiberglass cowl, guys help me decide, because im to worried the ride to work everyday might be to harsh with the new gear.....

Thanx for any opinions or persuasion
