Default Need Beefyer Starter!

after the stock starter craped out i got a HT mini and after only a hand full of starts it shot..took it apart and inside theres the three small gears that spin inside a bigger ring gear...sorta like a torque converter...but the outside ring gear is plastic...i checked a PA starter and it was the same...anyone know of a good HT mini starter that has a metal ring gear or that is beefyer the PA's ect.??

Believe it or not, after trying out several different starters the stock factory starter for a 92' Mustang GT worked out the best for me. This mini-starter clears my 2 inch Kook headers and fires up every time!!! Now, I do have a multi-step retard hooked up with a starter retard and also have -01 size wire from the battery all the way to the starter solonoid and then to the starter! The best part is if the starter ever gives me trouble later, I can get a new one for free, because it got a lifetime warranty. My engine is 420 cubic inch small block w/ 10.5 to one compression.
Good luck

I agree. I would just get a 93-95 5.0 starter. They're much smaller than the 92 and back starters.
