Post good deal or no?? & a stall converter ??

I know this is'nt a 'chevy' site, and this may offend some of you, but you guys seem to know your **** ..

besides mustangs, my favorite body style has always been the mid 60's chevy nova super sport..

I found a 66 (mint ext), problem is, 625hp and a 5500 stall converter (the guy has time slips for the car with a different motor, 9.38 @ 135 mph, he claims this new motor puts out 150 more hp.

$14,900.00

with a 5500 stall and 600+hp, would this car even have the ability to drive on the street (ocassional car show, drag strip, cruising)

to build this same car would cost well over that $$$ amount....

any input is appreciated, i apologize in advance for bringing a chevy question here..

gears (4:10's) coming soon. N2O, soon to follow!!!

Well I seriously doubt there is much streetability in a 5500rpm stall. LoL. You could always change to another stall. And for 600+hp and I'm assuming a carb. Probaly a few miles to the gallon. Big block or small block? My project S-10 is on it's way to being ready to drive. I'll post pics when I get them in about an hour. Or maybe I'll just put all the info on my website. What kind of tranny also, Probaly TH-350 or TH-400, or even a powerglide. What kind of gears? I would really count out the driving it on the street if the guy runs 9's in it. It's a drag car right? I mean you can run 9's in a street car, but I'm guessing this guy has a big block with 4:56 gears and a non-overdrive tranny.

Wink

I'll post some of the specifics, the stuff this guy has in this car is pretty impressive (for the price)... I looked at some semi-stock ones for 10,000, not very impressive.....

with the price of the car and guessing at the motor and drive train costs, this guy has to have over $20,000 into this car...

It's a sweeet ride, but an expensive toy to let sit in the garage (then again i've only put 115 miles on my 66 caprice in the last 3 years)...

It must be a guy thing??? ME MUST HAVE!!!! RACING FUEL, GO FAST!!!! ARRRRRRRRGGGGHH

DROOOOOLLL....

Man that car would be a blast on the track but not very streetable.

688 lift cam
Manual valve body
5500 stall

Some of the guys around here that have cars that are that extreme get them street legal and pull them out to the street racing spots on a trailor.

Does this car pull a wheely?
