![]() OK, maybe I'm just gullible. Anyway, a friend swears that he read about a company building '67 Mustangs identical to the originals but with new technology. Not that I would ever part with my '67 coupe but I would be interested something like this if it was true. Anybody heard about this? I can't imagine Ford allowing it to happen. E.

![]() Not sure about the Stangs, but there's a company out there doing that with '69 Camaros (Can I say that in here??? LOL) Still in the works, haven't built the first one yet. Price range is going to be around the $90,000 mark. Haven't found the website or anything yet either.
I think that'd be cool if FoMoCo let something like that happen! Closest thing I've seen, is the Eleanor clones that you can have built.

![]() Yep - you are correct - there is a company building 2 classic Mustangs. Can't recall the name - it was just in Mustang Monthly in the past 3 months. They are bulding a 1965 Fastback - Like the original GT Shelby - I believe the price tag on that one is about $85,000.00 and the 69 is a GT version at about $150,000.00 . If you are really interested in these - Let me know and I will look up the info and get it to you...

![]() Whoa! Just a bit out of my price range. Perhaps I'll just keep improving on my old '67 daily driver. Anyway, I kind of like the idea of being able to open the hood and recognizing most of the stuff in there. Thanks for the info. E.

![]() Yep - that is what I thought too. They looked really great, but for $100,000 + they should have . I will stick with mine too....Not anywhere in my rance for a new car. Might as well get a new GT (40) that is....

![]() As far as i know, it was a company out california, and they bought the orignal molds to the 65 coupe and the 69 shelby GT 500. i believe they are in santa monica. my grandfather told me about it i guess 6 months or so ago.Kinda pissed me off that it was a 65 if you can just go out and buy one new, then where is the prestige in owning and driveing a classic made from a certin date.He said the 65GT was saposed to go for 85-90k and the 69 was 170-200k he mailed me the artical i got it somewhere around here. ill try to find it and scan it, its from the L.A Times.

![]() It looks like the stock suspension is out, and they are possibly using a mustang II setup. In both of their engine pictures the shocks seemed to be removed. I guess they could use another of the aftermarket set ups like TCP.
