Question What gap for Autolite AR 133 Spark Plugs????

I just bought these and I was wondering if they need the stock gap or maybe a little less.

They have the cut back electrode which would appear to need maybe a little less gap than a normal plug, but I am purely speculating at this point.

Any help is appreciated.

I'm not making any recommendations... but for comparative purposes, I run AR-3933's gapped @ .035

Yeah, right know they are gapped under .03. I'm not going to leave them there, but the stock gap of .055 seems too big for this style of plug.

Anybody have any tips. I think I am going to call Autolite tomorrow.

A stupid question is a question not asked... I think that's how the saying goes

Anyhow... got any Advance Autoparts stores in Genoa? Otherwise, any place that handles Autolite should be able to hook you up with some AR's...

You ever go to Cordova? I'm heading up there tonight for some test & tune action... if it doesn't rain of course

Quick question. I run NGK V-power plugs gapped at .045. Are the Autolite AR's a better plug? and given the combo in my sig, what gap should I be running?

Unless you plan on running a healthy dose of nitrous, I wouldn't say the AR's are any better... I run NGK plugs currently (R5671A-9 @ .035) w/ a 200 shot and they work great. Plus, I get better tech support from them and the local speed shop has more available NGK p/n's in stock, ready to go... compared to the chain outlets (auto zone, advance, etc.) who have to order the AR's and take 3 days or longer to get them. Both good reasons for me to run NGK over Autolite. I do like the AR plugs however... I just hate to wait that long for a set of plugs.

I'd call MSD on your plug gap question to be sure... you should be able to open it up to .50-.55 on a NA combo w/ hotter ignition.

OUTPLAYN ...no street racing for me this year. Makes me think of the group of guys at the PRO event at Cordova betting on every pair of cars that went down the track, LOL! If someone has beef w/ another, they should take it to the track in a controlled environment, IMHO. Not that I've ever street raced or anything ...picturing my car at an impound or an auction is enough to keep me away from the local $treet $cene.

Take care guys...
