Steering and Tires....

OK, so the wife is complaining about the "pull" on the steering wheel from my 245's up front. I've asked if this was normal before and I think I was told "yes".

Is there anyway to reduce the steering wheel pull without going to a smaller tire? If it means redoing some joints in the steering system it's worth it to kill this pulling thing, otherwise I've got a real up hill battle when it comes to getting wider tires and better rims on the car

wider tires tend to catch ruts in the road alot easier and cause pulling, so other than getting smaller tires there's really nothing you can do.

But I swear then when I test drove a 99 GT with the same tires it did not pull nearly as much as mine.

I guess I could drop to a 235 tire and just go wider on the back...

Caster/camber plates might help. Get it aligned and try to get as much caster as possible. That should help it from getting sidetracked in the ruts, but it'll make it a bit harder to turn the wheel.
