![]() I have an 82 GT that has a vacuum leak under the dash when I apply the brakes, at first I figured it was the brake booster leaking but I found a vacuum switch on the brake pedal that I have no idea of its purpose. Anyone know what this is for? I am going to eliminate it because I see no need for it.
Thanks for your help.

![]() Cruise control vacum dump I think. Cruise used to work on vacum once the system loses vacum it would shut the cruise off. Now its done through the brake switch electrically.
