Re: 5.0 with 4cyl tranny
If you do a search you'll find some say it will and others say it wont. From just google searches I've done in the past it will work with a different pilot bearing, but you'll have to judge whether or not you want to go by that information.

Re: 5.0 with 4cyl tranny
The pilot shaft is too long and narrow. The different bearing will take up the diameter, but not the lenght. You run the risk of destroying the main bearings on your motor. The shaft will most likely bottom out into the back of the crank.
When you start the car and feel a horrible vibration, bingo. I wouldn't waste my time putting one in. I see V8 T5's for 300$ all day long.

Re: 5.0 with 4cyl tranny
Where do you see $300 t5's?? Around here (northern MN) 4cyl t5's run around $200 in the JY's if you can even find them, from talking to JY's in my area they are hot with circle track racers. 5.0 t5's are generally in the 5-700 range from local people. (local people pretty much equals craigslist for me, since I really dont know anybody else who is into cars and has the parts) I bought a 4cyl t5 for $100, plan on running it for awhile until I save up enough for a properly built v8 t5. Obviously you can find good deals, but as it turns out I wasnt blessed with that skill, haha.
