The pilot shaft is too long and narrow. The different bearing will take up the diameter, but not the lenght. You run the risk of destroying the main bearings on your motor. The shaft will most likely bottom out into the back of the crank.

When you start the car and feel a horrible vibration, bingo.

I wouldn't waste my time putting one in. I see V8 T5's for 300$ all day long.
