![]() Hows it goin',I am still working on changing my 4clylx to a 5.0,I ran into a question about fuel supply and was wondering if anyone had some advice? Should I use the pump in the tank and regulate it for the carb that I am using , or take the pump out and use a low pressure inline pump? thanks.

![]() Ahhhh, my next student of fuel systems 101.
Get rid of the in tank pump, by an old school pickup. Nothing fancy needed for what you're doing. Buy a Holley Blue, and regulator, and you're good to go. ![]()

![]() I would advise against the Holley Blue pump if you're going to drive this on the street. They are waaay too loud!
I just recently installed one and I don't like it. I would recommend an electric one from Mallory instead of Holley. Jester is a Jedi master when it comes to fuel systems so I would and have listened to what he says about them. Sorry Bill, I hate the Holley Blue pumps. They might be ok for a race car but not a good choice for the street. Unless, of course, this IS a race car you're building.......

![]() Thanks for the info ,I am planning on driving this next summer,I'm not arguing but why not use the factory pump that is in the tank now,My racing buddy has a Camaro that he done this with it works well.(for a camaro, lol). He has the factory pump in the tank with a holley inline regulator no noise and it will supply enough fuel to the carb.
