I spent probably ten agonizing minutes bouncing all over this stupid office cussing everybody at Ford motor company. Reading that note and re-reading it, getting madder all the time. GET MY CONGRESSMAN! What can I say. . . ya got me! good one and believe me , my heart sank reading that stoopid April's fool joke. Definitely a "10"

That was the equivalant of you calling me at work to tell me my dad died, letting me writhe in pain for a few minutes, then opening the door to a big surprise party.

I was officially hit with my first April fools joke about five minutes after I woke up.

Yeah, Dan got me with that one, too.

I sat in front of my computer with my jaw hitting the desk...but about half-way through reading the message, I just happened to glance at my calendar..April first!

I called my wife over to read it...she was impressed with the fact that Dan got the other site owners to go along (and work together) on the gag. We admired Dan' joke on us and the thought and work that went into it, as he does with everything.

I'm still adjusting (quite happily) to the improved message boards, and I want to remind everyone that we lost everything on Late Model Tech, so if you had a question that wasn't responded to, please re-post, and be patient...it'll take some time to get up to speed, but we'll be functioning at WOT soon.

I'M THINKING ABOUT PUTTING A SMALL BLOCK
CHEVY MOTOR DOWN IN MY MUSTANG.THE PARTS ARE CHEEPER AND EASY TO FIND.I LOVE MY MUSTANG THAT'S WHY I WANT THE BEST FOR HER.

WRITE BACK AND TELL ME THE COMBO'S I SHOULD

I didn't realize what-so-ever that it could be joke. In fact I yelled and called my sister in to read it with me I was so discouraged. I hadn't even checked untill tonight because I was goin to erase it from my bookmarks!!! I guess you really did get me. I don't know what I would have done, I can't find another message board with as good people as this one!

First I was Pissed at Ford****Then at Mustang Works as I read it was a joke****But when everything in reach was broke and my wife had called the nut house, I finally got over it.

Please don't attempt this again or I will Die.

All in all I'd say folks here handled this joke alot better than a similar joke that went on with slashdot.org , www.userfriendly.org , and segfault.org . Basicly they started a week early letting people know they had gotten "registered letters" from a company that "must remain anonymous for now".
The gag was that supposedly both segfault and uf were taken down. Of course the news site (slashdot) stayed up to post about it to make it more believeable. Many people found this to be a breach of trust.

I just found it funny..

Same as the mustang site bunch...

Both gags were well thought out and well written, which contributed to their feel of "authenticity". That is the fun of 4/1. If you aren't had, or almost had even, then you are either very sharp or PaRaNoId. If you got mad when you saw the prank (but before you knew it as such), understandable. If you got mad AFTER you knew it to be a joke, because it WAS a joke, I pity you.

Anyway..sorry for the ramblings..read all the other boards, and now I'm bored...damn work..I could be playing with my stang...
