I first just wanted to say thanks for all the help that I have recieved so far getting my 68 running right... I feel much better knowing there are resources outthere available to me. The task of restoring this car does not seem as big...
I do have another question though... there is a part that is sticking up from the thermostat housing with 3 ports on it.. I can see in pics that that are connected to the VA for an automatic but I have a manual. So, what do I connect these ports to or do I block them off? Any help is greatly appreciated... Thanks |

that thermostat housing is for a newer motor , prob 302 , no need to plug them ,you can go to the parts store and get a thermostat housing without ports in it if its a cosmetic thing...
those ports went to vacum ports on the intake and smog equip. |

Those were for the engines with the two stage dist. vacumm advance. Disregard it, plug it or as stated above get a housing without the opening.
