What you are looking for is typically called a "gameport" connection. They are commonly found on sound cards. Mustangman was correct, there are adapters to bridge a gameport to USB. You can see it HERE But like the page states, if you are hooking up an inexpensive controller, it isn't worth buying ($15) when you can pick up another controller.
