Question 4.10's on 2001 GT?

I am thinking of installing 4.10 gears on my 2001 gt to pick up the pace a bite. I would like to know if anyone has already done this and if you have would you recommend I do it. And if you don't what gearing do you recommend? Its a 5 speed of course. I don't want to go to low but I also don't want to go to high. I do a lot of freeway driving but I wouldn't mind spending more money on gas if I can take out a couple more camero SS's and WS6 trans ams.

Thanks for your advice.
