Results from track are disappointing

Well, with the new intake I ran a best of a 12.70 @ 104....not what I was expecting but it's hard to make any judgement because it was over 90 degrees when I raced and the air was so thick I didn't want to torture the car by bringing the RPM's above the 6200 mark. Actually, running a .70 in that air isn't all that bad, but I can't make a call as to whether or not the intake install was worthless until I race in decent temperatures. I'll know more tomorrow when I head back over in the mid 70's air. I'm also going to throw a timinig light on her and see if I can make any advances in timing without hearing any pinging. I have the run on tape and once I install the driver's for my camera I'll update this with the run on .mpeg. One thing is for sure, and you'll be able to notice this on the .mpeg. And that is that I'm shifting into 3rd gear WAYYYY down by the top end which explains why my RPM's throuh the traps are low.
