![]() The problem with the Cleveland heads is that they flow TOO MUCH air, especially at low rpms. This means that at low engine speeds the air charge does not build enough velocity to adequately fill the chambers. When Ford originally put these heads on the 302 the problem was a loss of power at low engine speed. If you are building a RACE ONLY motor, then these heads MAY be what you need.
Converting these heads to a 351w will be the same process as converting a 302. The deck height difference between 302 and 351w is still there so obviously a 302 Cleveland intake will not fit a 351w w/ Cleveland heads. Personally I would not use the Cleveland heads on a 302 that needs to make power under 4-5k rpm. This includes ANY car that is going to see street duty.
