![]() I buy from Summit regularly and have always had good experiences. My last order was by far the biggest I've ever made. New TFTW heads. TF 1.7 roller rockers, gasket set, push rods, valve covers etc. Over $1500.
Well, don't believe the "just ask you tech rep" song and dance. The heads were a straight forward choice, no problem. I asked if the TF rockers came with poly locks? He said no and recommended Crane Kool nuts. I asked if the RR's would fit under my Ford cast Al. valve covers? He said no, I needed the tall Ford Al. valve covers to clear the rockers. I asked what length push rods did I need. Here he said he just didn't know. After phoning Trick flow after this order was made, I found out: 1.) TF roller rockers do come with poly locks ( Crane Kool nuts are for stamped rockers only) 2.) TFTW heads have a raised rail (.35") so you can use roller rockers with out interference with stock valve covers. 3.) You need an adjustable push rod to determine the push rod length for your application before odering the push rods. I did call back before the order was shipped to get it all corrected. I also e-mailed Summit complaining about the bad advice. They said the guy was new and inexperienced and gave me the name of an experienced person if I needed tech advice in the future. This is the only negative experience I've had in years of dealing with Summit, but I've always had the part #'s and didn't need advice. The only time I did need advice.................well we've just been over all that. Rev
