Post Heating Problems

I am currently using a 16 or 17 inch electric fan(BM). Its suppost to keep cool up to 260hp. As my sig shows I am above that mark. I took my car out last night and drove around town a bit w/the weather being about 60 degrees. Car ran about 240-255 degrees!!! I put EnginKool in it and it didnt work. I would really like to stay away from putting that big ol stock clutch fan back on. Does anyone know if one of those little black magic thin metal fans work very well??
