The only reason Ford uses that thin oil is because they found that they can get an extra MPG over 5w30. I have heard of many more engine problems than normal since they made this switch. '01+ Lightnings and Mustangs with low mileage are having engines replaced pretty often. I'd stick to 5w30 or 10w30.
