try cleaning out atleast the t.b., egr spacer & idle air bypass solenoid to start with. gaskets cost beans. after all is clean & reinstalled, check & adj tps to .98v, with a volt meter. then reset computer idle strategy like this---------------------------------------------1. warm up car to op. temp. 2. shut off & disconnect i.a.b solenoid & neg bat cable 4 at least 20min. 3. reconn. bat start car & adj idle rpm with set screw under t.b. & run for 2 min. 4. shut off car & reconn i.a.b solenoid [ cylinder looking thing on front of t.b.] & run for 2 min. 5. turn off car for 2 min. 6. restat car with ALL accessories on & run for 2 min. this may take a couple of tries, mine did & has progressivley got better over a few weeks. my surge was so bad i couldnt drive the car, but it idles great now. now i have to fix the part throttle buck im getting. hope this works 4 ya
