Will 3.73s put to much strain on my tired
motor in the mean time? Not at all, the RPM difference at cruising speed (65 mph) is quite small. Go for it. Personally, I prefer (and have) 3:55 gears, as I think they are just a better all-around gear for 5.0's that are mildly modified and don't do much racing, but I also agree that 3:73's give the maximum kick for the buck and I wouldn't advise against them in your case. |
