![]() The problem in using the hazard flasher in place of the turn signal flasher is that there is no warning when a front or rear flasher bulb goes out. Wth the turn signal flasher, when a bulb is out, the indicator light inside the car will come on but not flash when the signal is used thereby alerting the driver that a bulb is out.
With the hazard flasher, the inside indicator light continues to flash even if one of the outside turn indicator bulbs is out. At least that's how it works in my car. Rev
