Thanks Rev... but the orifice to the right of the one where the power valve (spark control valve), is where a vacuum line went in for the spark advance on the old carb.

In the instructions, step 28 specifically mentioned the power valve going there...

I guess there is some contradicting info... I'm at a loss, though... in either case, nothing is there now.. but an opening and a vacuum leak, but both diagrams show approximately the same looking object is supposed to be there.
