About $6000 with intercooler (recommend the intercooler - helps keep everything alive). Bell also makes a race unit at 2.2 litres, which cranks much more boost. Reason I like the twin screw units for the street are instant response and low - medium torque production (ideal for street driving). If your goal is 1/4 mile competition, you might indeed go with a Vortech (or Powerdyne, Paxton, etc) centrifugal unit. Lots of hp at high rpms. One key to my selection for a street machine would be to get a unit that has own oil supply (vs tapping into hot oil in oil pan). Vortech uses this plan in many of their superchargers. I think other manufacturers are starting to do this as well. tripleblack |
