Eventually the 4 banger trans will kill your rear engine bearing.

The pilot shaft on the 4 cyl T5 is longer and smaller dia. There is a pilot shaft bearing that will take up the slack on dia, but not lenght. Machining the lenght is needed.

So in short, It will push into your crankshaft and rattle around if the above in not done.

Will it work, yeah, would I use one? No way. One good launch will shatter it.

A good used V8 T5 or even a new one is alot less than a engine rebuild.
