![]() hey i am a mechanic and i asked what cam to use because i wanted to see how people liked it....the duration it how long the valve is open and has absolutely nothing to do at all ever with the lift....1.7 makes the b cam have .510 lift @ 50 as the 1.6 would be .480....and a cam that will give you the .100 clearence with steel rods and like .120 with aluminum you can have valve float at high rpm ur nuts to say duration has any thing to do with clearance....and the flow is higher with more lift and duration and if u think different then dont give any 1 info on a cam because u will be missleading them
