Question Too Undercoat or not?

I am in the middle of removing the undercoating of my 69 fastback and need some input. The transmission and exhaust are removed so this is a great oportunity to clean and paint this area. I have some of Eastwood's chasis black paint and was planing on using this, but do you think this will be enough? The coating is coming off clean and the paint underneath is in good shape.
I also live in Texas so salt from the roads shouldn't be an issue.
One more item under the drivers and passenger seats there is some small dents and a crease,do you think I should pull these out or not worry about it?
