Post changing cam

can i physically take out my cam while it's in the vehicle, is there enough clearance if i remove my radiator...what would you guys recommend i do. Should i remove the front nose also? I have a 5 spd so there is no trans cooler in front of the radiator.

Also: kind of related.
I'm going to put on a dual plane intake (haven't decided what yet) and have a holley 600cfm carb. What cam would you guys recommend for a decent condition 150k mile block with 600cfm Holley, stock E7TE heads, 1 5/8" shortys and 2 1/2" exhaust. I have some concerns about revving the piss out of it, so i'd like a strong mid range cam. Any ideas?
Thanks
