![]() In Florida I'm pretty sure it is 20 years. You can go to the auto flea market and purchase an old Florida plate from one of the vendors. The plate has to be the same year as the car. Then you can apply to the state to have that plate on your car.
You can't restore the plate, so they say. In about a month you get the year sticker for the older plate and you can put it on the car. It has to be renewed yearly just like a normal plate. You also have to turn in any "modern" plate that you had on your ride. I have a 68 Florida plate on my 68 Mustang. Looks good and I get alot of questions about it.
