				 | 1994-1995 Mustang GT. 5.0L (4.9L) overhead valve pushrod V-8. 215hp/285lb/ft. 1994-1995 Mustang Cobra 5.0L (4.9L) overhead valve pushrod V-8. 240hp/280lb/ft. Those ratings are conservative. 260hp is more like it. 1996-1997 Mustang GT. 4.6L single overhead camshaft V-8. 215hp/285lb/ft. The 4.6L makes it's power higher up than the 5.0, and is weaker in the 1/4 mile. 1996-1998 Mustang Cobra. 4.6L dual overhead camshaft 32 valve V-8. 305hp/300lb/ft. 1998 Mustang GT. 4.6L single overhead camshaft V-8. 225hp/300lb/ft. A couple minor changes boosted hp on the 98's. |
