If you are going to drag race it will be best to hook-up. So you will need to get softer tires if you don't. Most important parts of bracket racing are reaction time and consistency. So you need to find a way of cutting a .500 to .550 reaction time and then also run as close to possible to your dial-in. Do everything the same each run(leave on the same light, from the same spot, same rpm,etc.) and keep your car the same each run( same tire press.,same water temp,etc.).
