![]() You want to lighten up the valve train wherever you can to relieve the load on the lifters at the high rpms. Things like titanium retainers & locks, thinner walled pushrods, etc. The selection of springs is important to prevent valve float. What are the seat & open loads on your springs? You want to balance the spring loads with enough force to keep the valve train in place, without excessive load that robs horsepower and causes premature wear. Your cam company should be able to recommend the correct spring for your combination and intended rpm range.
