DR, you can check you own clearance and make your decision where to drill. Use play dough in a baggie lay it on the valve train and smash your valve cover on top of it. This will make a perfect imprint a give you dimensions of clearances. I've got sheet metal valve covers and I need to do the same to weld bungs in them for vents. Hope this was helpful. The Force
