![]() Depends on what you're looking for and what your future plans are. In T/S (now S/W), we've run deep into the elevens (11.1's@122) on UNPORTED GT-40Ps with the stock size (1.84/1.46) valves. People at my local track are amazed when I smoke their Vortech laden, aluminum headed, NOS spraying rides with my 306ci, normally aspirated .500" lift cam, shorty headered car.
My new motor should push 450hp with the GT-40Ps. Not too shabby compared to the AFR 165 headed motor that we just dyno'd at 427hp! Don't get me wrong, there are a bunch more heads out there that I'd love to own if I could run them in the class. But, given that we're held to factory cast iron heads I've elected to go with the P's. They have the potential to provide some fantastic performance. IMHO, the P's are a great little bolt on. I've got a friend with 40 pairs sitting in his basement. He'll sell them bare or assembled. You can check out my website if you're interested.
