![]() I didn't use any special tools. You'll want a pair of long needlenose to pull the cotter pins off the ends of the bolts so you can slide the old quad out and probably a screwdriver to help pry it out. You'll need a light as it's very dark under the dash. If your replacing the cable at the same time you need a 5/16's (I think) box wrench or socket to remove the 1 bolt holding on the inspection cover on the bell housing and a pry bar to pull the clutch fork out so you can remove the cable. It's very simple, just a PITA working under the dash.
