![]() Basically when you upgrade your ignition to something like an MSD, you usually won't see any real performance gain UNLESS, your current ignition system is getting weak.
If your current ignition isn't providing a powerful spark in the higher RPM's, then the MSD or whatever you choose will provide a powerful spark up through the entire power band. That's when you'd notice a performance difference. Other than the above, all it will do for you is 1) look good in your engine compartment, 2) may improve your gas mileage, 3) have easy accessories that can plug into it (MSD 6AL has a tach port, and other MSD accessories can be used with it as well) Did that answer your question?
