Chevy-boy must have gotten that term from his grandfather.
Back in the '50's, Offenhauser was the big aftermarket cam manufacturer. They had a fairly aggressive cam for the wildly popular Ford flathead V-8 that was termed a '3/4 race' cam, as opposed to a 'full-race' near-unstreetable cam. That was about 50 years ago. Your friend has no clue what's in that Chevy except that it probably has an aftermarket cam. |
