Well, down here.. We actually use the terms a little differently.

We say blower to mean Roots Types
We say superchrger to mean Centrifugal Types
and the other is normal. Turbo means Turbo

If I were you, I would read up on the two type of forced systems and their sub types. Belt driven are cheaper but are parasitic to the engine. Gas driven are more expensive, but cause less of a parasitic load.. It's all about what you want and how much you want to spend.
