Gears cost about 150 to 180 bucks plus you need the install kit for another 75 or so. Installs can range between 200 - 350 bucks. Have it done by someone who has done alot of them or you will be spending alot more cash fixing a problem. THE rear end in our cars will spin both tires in a straight line ( mine does ) but if you ever go around a corner and punch the gas notice the outside tire will spin hard and the inside tire will not. I think the rear end tries to give power to the tire that is losing traction or something like that. I'm sure someone will answere the question more completely.
