yes that is a crappy combo. The GT40-x heads and the vortech intakes are both a huge waste of money.

go with AFR 165 heads ~ $1250
Edelbrock Performer RPM ~$500
then call anderson ford, tell them what you'll have, and what you want to do with the car, and they'll get you a great cam for it. ~250

this combined with that shortblock will put you at about $3500, and if you have sticky tires and can drive well, it will be easy low 12's, if not some high 11's

But whenever you jump into a project of this caliber, you need to add atleast a few hundred more bucks for the cost of gaskets, and other random parts.
