I'm running a 70 conv. As soon as I read heater core I started cringing! It has to be done from the inside, not through the engine bay. Do you have AC? I'm praying you dont, then it gets really messy. Are you sure it's your heater core? Make sure, you dont want to take the whole dash apart for nothing. If it is make sure you mark everything so you know how to put it back together. And you should replace everything while you in there so you dont have to do it again for a long time. Do the blower motor, the resistor, any of those vacum actuators that need it, you can also get a kit to replace all the worn out foam on the vent tubes and doors. It's a real pain in the butt, so don't rush it do it right and like I said you wont have to go back in there for some time. Hey as long as your taking the whole dash apart nows a good time to restore it. There are a few places that sell the dash paint and i really looks great. I got mine from Mustangsunlimited.com Good luck
