![]() I have the performer intake on mine, and it BARELY fits under the stock hood. Mine still has the 65 style motor mounts though, which I hear makes the engine sit up a little higher than the 66 and later ones. If you run the shelby-style hood w/scoop, use the 66 mounts, and have a short air cleaner, I think you should be ok.
BTW if you do go that route, I would recomend getting the whole fiberglass hood with the scoop already molded in rather than adding a shelby-type scoop to the hood you already have. Good luck with it...sounds like it'll be sweet car!
