I always suggest going with 1 1/2 inch tube headers on a stock or near stock application.

Now with that being said Long tube headers make more power throughout the entire powerband than shorties. Even on a stock engine.

What I dont suggest doing is putting 1 5/8 inch tube headers of any kind on a stock motor.
