![]() You will only need to notch the pistons if you get a fairly hefty cam.
The 185 heads are a bit much on a naturally aspirated 302. The 165's would work really well for you though. So if theres any way you could trade yours or return them for 165's I think you would be better off. But if not, you're ok. Just get a good flowing intake (i like the Performer RPM and Holley systemax). Just read an article in the newest 5.0ragazine and they made 390hp/378ft-lb NA with the 185 heads on a 302. So I guess they really aren't too bad ![]() Whatever cam you choose to go with, make sure you check the piston to valve clearance so you don't end up with a pile broken parts. 30lb injectors will do you perfect good luck
