jeff gave great advice, Just replace the starter instead of rebuilding. I don't know of anyone that would rebuild one though. Get one from Shucks, Kragens, or someother part store that has a lifetime gaurantee and you will learn to love it. i have to replace mine about every 4 years, its great just getting a free newly rebuilt one, i do the same with my alternators.
