You must have a later model Explorer without
an internal EGR passage. The above link can
help with that - he offers an EGR eliminator.

One thing - remember that without the exhaust
normally introduced into the intake by the EGR,
you're taking in more air, leaning out the mixture
a little - makes it slightly more prone to detonation.
Although, the stock EEC-IV does provide a slightly
richer mixture than a sharp tuneup will, so you
might be OK.
