A clean motor that runs well sells for $350.00 around here. If its a 4 bolt main motor maybe 500. Alot of people look at what a remanufactured costs and gage what they'll pay for a used one. A 79 is not a great year for performance. So its looked at as a replacement, not an upgrade.

I got a 95 LT1 50k miles with computer/harness complete for $500.00. A 91 302EFI with harness sold for the same. I base my offers on these types of deals. Non computer motor less. Unless it has new carb/intake etc.
