				 | fuel filter Hey guys, Ok I know these days gasoline isn't the greatest quality, so I asked my friend that races, and he told me to use union 76 gasoline, which is the best marketed gasoline. Anyway my fuel filter is clogging up about every 4 to 5 thousand miles. This doesn't seem right. Is there a better filter I can use or what is the best solution. |

				 | Sounds like you have other problems, as your filter seems to be doing it's job. I have 72,000 miles on my original filter, and no problems. I've got a new one to install, just haven't gotten the gumption to crawl under there and replace it....LOL

				 | Definately something else going on there... I would definately drop the tank and clean it out..If your not comfortable with doing such a job as this...get a shop to do it.There has got to be debris of some sort in your tank to do this....filters should last much longer. If it's rust from the tank itself, then you might want to get a new or used tank...Also try a different gas station?? If you do this yourself,BE CAREFUL!You are working with gasoline after all...Even when empty, the vapors can ignite... Good luck-Milt
