Wats up guys , just got a real quick ? for u. I was wondering when it would be a good time to change the fuel filter on my 89 5.0. I have a friend with the same car and he didnt change his fuel filter and now he just spent $320 to not only change the filter but also his fuel pump. We both have about 150,000 miles on our cars. I dont want to have that happen to me but i dont want to spend money if i dont have too. if i have to change my filter is there any type that u would recomend? ne response would be greatly apreciated. thank you.

Any one should work fine. it is ez to do 30 min or so. make sure you trun the car over with the relay in the trunk off so there will be no fuel pressuer in the lines.

its just to the drivers side of the license plate area, its a little box with a button on it. you have to unplug it and start your car, then your car will die when theres no more fuel pressure

when your done, plug it back in, hit the button and start the car,and your done i did about 30 fuel filters on pretty much every ford vehicle over the summer and NEVER released the pressure from the system, so its not necessary just shield your eyes and put a pan underneath it to catch the fuel that spills out of the lines hope this helps
