All pre-1980 small block motors used 28.2 oz plate.

Everything else after 1980 used 50 oz.

There is two different tooth size plates for small motors too. 157/164. Of which yours should be 157. Just count it to be sure.

It's a drag if you put it together and the starter won't hit anything
